Pastor Matthew Wheeler conducted a question and answer session during his
first official Sunday sermon Aug. 12, much to the delight of the
congregation. |

Pastor Dennis Mueller installs Pastor Wheeler Aug. 5 during a special
service. Pastor Mueller is a Bishop's Assistant with Northwest Ohio
Synod, ELCA. It was a great day as the church moves toward its 177th

Matthew S. Wheeler, Toledo area native and recent graduate of Trinity
Seminary has accepted our call to serve as our pastor. He was
ordained at his home church, Holy Trinity in Toledo on July 14. Several
members of FLC attended. We welcome Matt and look forward to serving
Our Lord with him. |

| Then prospective pastor Matt Wheeler addresses an enthusiastic crowd on
May 15 in the Social Hall during a meet and greet session. On Sunday,
May 20,the congregation unanimously voted to extend a call to Matt to be our
new pastor. He is expected to begin his duties early August after completing
seminary and being ordained.. |

Matt Wheeler enjoys some ice cream punch while he is
introduced to everyone attending the evening event. Brian Shifley,
call committee member, looks on. Matt was treated to a tour of the
city and dinner before the meeting. |

Council Vice-President Kevin McNeal looks over the agenda with
Northwest Synod Assistant to the Bishop Kathy Shibler prior to Sunday's
congregational vote. Kathy worked closely with the call committee for the
past two years helping to locate a new pastor. She was the guest
preacher for the worship before the meeting. |

I Made it!!

An exuberant Matthew Scott Wheeler, Trinity Seminary graduate of the Class of 2007. Matt
was one of 47 to graduate on June 2 in ceremonies at Trinity in Columbus.
Here he proudly displays his Master of Divinity diploma. Congratulations
