COMING UP THIS MONTH!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL !!

2008

At Friendship Trek, kids encounter exciting, daily Good Friend Challenges, setting them on the right path for faith, fun, and friendship!

Grab your gear and join Friendship Trek, an amazing hike through the Bible to meet Jesus, our Forever Friend.

Friendship scripture:                      Greater love has no one than this,

that someone lays down his life for

his friends. You are MY friends.

This year’s Lutheran Church Bible School will be held at Peace Lutheran Church July 28-August 1.

It is a combined effort between all the Galion Lutheran Churches, so...we need volunteers from our church!

If you would like to help in any way, please contact Shannon Hadamuscin through the church office.

Take a look at last year's fun!

Vacation Bible School July, 2007

Hosted by First Lutheran Church

with Peace Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran

Stephanie Sauers and Ronda Tinch (representing First), Sarah Creswell from Peace, and Ginny Nuechterlein from Trinity thank everyone for helping make this a successful program.

Mission Project - The mission project selected for the Great Bible Reef has a strong connection with reef and island life, as well as meeting a very real need. We collected school supplies or monetary donations for Augsburg’s Chuuk School Project.                                   To read more about the school on the island of Guam, please visit: http://www.thevbsplace.org/missionproject_introduction.jsp

The plan to support the mission project was very successful. Every cent or school supply item brought in was equal to 1 milliliter of water that will be dumped on Sarah, the leader of the openings and closings, on Friday.  Here she is getting water poured on her at the end of the week. There was a lot of water and a lot of fun!!

The church building was transformed into an underwater world with all the creatures of a reef!
